TROY, MICHIGAN, January 29, 2021 - International Strategic Management, Inc. (ISM) is once again proud to be hosting fellows from Mexico and South America through the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program.
The 2021 YLAI Fellowship Program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and its implementing partner, IREX. Since YLAI’s launch in 2015, ISM has hosted more than a dozen fellows, helping to strengthen the development of their entrepreneurial ideas so they can better contribute to the socioeconomics of their communities. This year ISM is hosting fellows from Mexico, Brazil, and Chile.
Launched in 2015, YLAI has helped to develop and grow the leadership and entrepreneurial experience for more than 750 Latin American/Caribbean fellows to date, working with organizations such as ISM. The YLAI Fellowship strives to help the fellows accelerate their success and develop action plans to carry out upon return to their home countries. YLAI Fellows build networks, linkages, and lasting partnerships to attract investments and support for their entrepreneurial ventures. Follow the YLAI Fellowship on social media using #YLAI2021Innovators.
“We are honored to host such great entrepreneurs from South America & Mexico,” says Faris Alami, “There is a great benefit for both sides. The entrepreneurs gain insight into U.S. business practices and the ISM Team, and we learn more about entrepreneurship and small business ownership in South America & Mexico.”
One participant Melania Sanhueza of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program stated, "I am thrilled to participate in this program and have the opportunity to learn from the great leaders that are part of ISM. It has been an amazing experience so far, and I know it will help me create a greater impact in the near future."
