CEO Creates Nonprofit Supporting Youth in STEM
TROY, MICHIGAN, September 30, 2021 – Faris Alami, CEO of International Strategic Management, Inc. (ISM) has launched Connecting Dots, a nonprofit that supports young entrepreneurs in STEM and entrepreneurship in global settings. Over 5,000 students have already engaged in programs that encourage and support entrepreneurial and business trade missions internationally.
“The goal of Connecting Dots is to engage youth by bringing programs and training to high school and college students looking to jumpstart their careers,” says Faris. “We are always honored to have such amazing talent from around the world and to share with them the experience of running a business, entrepreneurship and small business development activities in several communities; and in return we gain insights about their own entrepreneurial journey and the culture of doing business in their home country.”
Students engage in an intensive hands-on virtual learning experience that simulates an entrepreneurial mindset while teaching about business and international trade. Through this extraordinary opportunity, awareness is created around exciting careers in high-tech industries: many in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields. We call this STEMpreneurship®.
“By helping students better understand fundamental relationships that exist between STEM and entrepreneurship, we help them see that entrepreneurship is vital to every field of human endeavor in the 4th industrial revolution and beyond,” says Terrance Campbell, Global Trade Mission facilitator.
